she/they
Halimat Olunlade (she/her) is a fourth-year combined biology and english major at Northeastern University. As a queer, Black immigrant, she aims to amplify the stories that matter to people like her, who have been left out of the major narrative. With backgrounds in both science and the humanities, she aims to bridge disciplines to tackle complex issues like climate change. Her intersectional perspective inspires her to center stories from marginalized communities and explore how identities shape one's relationship to the world. Through her writing, Halimat hopes to foster empathy and spur social change.
